Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau is the Chairman of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), and the Chairman of its wholly-owned subsidiary, eMPF Platform Company Limited. She has been a Non-executive Director of MPFA since March 2017.

Ayesha is active in community service and has been appointed by the Hong Kong SAR Government to sit on various advisory bodies. She is currently a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, Governance Sub-Committee, and Financial Infrastructure and Market Development Sub-Committee of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. She is also a Director of Hong Kong Academy of Finance Limited. Ayesha has recently been appointed by The MTR Corporation as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Board, a member of each of the Audit & Risk Committee and the Finance & Investment Committee of the Corporation.

She has been an Accounting Advisor of the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China since May 2016 and a member of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference since January 2018.

She was a former Partner of KPMG China and former Managing Partner of Hong Kong, KPMG China.
